Legat de cursele care vor urma: in cadrul UCI au inceput discutiile cu privire la necesitatea unui plan de actiune in cazul unor conditii meteorologice extreme. Cicilistii si conducatorii echipelor au mai protestat in trecut referitor la conditiile meteo din unele curse, insa probabil ca etapa cu finis pe Terminillo a fost hotaratoare pentru demararea acestor discutii. E deja celebra poza photoshopata cu micutul Quintana care apare pe linia de sosire tinand in maini betele de schi.
