– 22 teams will ride this year’s edition (18 World Tour and 4 Pro Continental)

– Nairo Quintana can become the first Colombian to podium in all three Grand Tours
– The cyclists who came to the start in Galicia have won a combined total of 13 Grand Tours, 9 Monuments, 2 world titles and more than 80 Grand Tour stages
– Lotto-Soudal’s Adam Hansen is racing his 16th consecutive Grand Tour, after completing the previous 15
– Julien Bernard, Patrick Bevin, François Bidard, Koen Bouwman, Lilian Calmejane, Romain Cardis, Nick Dougall, Odd Christian Eiking, Michael Gogl, Jack Haig, Silvio Herklotz, Sindre Lunke, Matvey Mamykin, Gregor Mühlberger, Jhonathan Restrepo and Jaime Roson are the 16 neo-pros who will make their debut in a Grand Tour
– Odd Christian Eiking is the youngest cyclist in the race (21 years), while Haimar Zubeldia is the oldest one (39 years)

– Surprisingly, France is the nation with the most riders at the start (34), ahead of Spain (27) and Belgium (21)

Salut Alex 🙂 Se pare ca Andrei Nechita este in discutii avansate cu doua echipe: CCC si Stölting ; se asteapta doar raspunsul din partea unora sau altora. Anul acesta chiar se afla-n forma excelenta, este adevarat ca la nivel national dar de mentionat ca este in continuare fara echipa ! A fost inscris la una sau alta doar ptr a putea participa in anumite concursuri, unele fiind castigate detasat. L-am urmarit in Turul Sibiului si chiar ar fi pacat sa mai piarda un an fara a-si gasi o noua echipa. Il leaga o prietenie adevarat de Alex Ciocan care incearca si el sa-l ajute cu tot ce poate.
Spuneai tu ca uneori si un pas inapoi in cariera este binevenit tocmai ptr a se regasi si relansa dar cred ca acest pas facut in Romania nu i-a priit deloc. Daca ar fi ramas prin Vest poate ca la ora asta altfel stateau lucrurile.
Am zis ca vom discuta pe parcursul TdF dar chiar n-am avut ce, atat de mare este miza incat totul este tacticizat mai ceva ca la fotbal si doar cazaturile + abandonurile au devenit ” de actualitate ” si sar in ochi ca stire de…breaking news. 😦 In conditiile date cred ca si Grosu ar fi castigat TdF daca ar fi imbracat tricoul lui Froome pentru ca la ce echipa are SKY si la cat de necunoscut ca si forma era Froome si care inca mai este daca stam sa analizam prestatia lui din Vuelta care nu este una formidabila cred ca lui Edi i-ar fi stat de minune in galben. 😀
Glumesc dar a devenit atat de neatragator TdF incat etapele de sprint aproape ca sunt de neratat, asta si ptr ca tot Universul il asteapta pe Quintana sa atace si mai degraba cred ca el isi asteapta propria echipa sa atace ptr ca altfel nu-mi explic ! 😀 Macar in Vuelta sa atace ca spectacolul sa fie asigurat.

Daca ar semna cu CCC, ar fi cu adevarat un pas inainte. Stolting e cam nesigura, nu s-a bucurat de un climat financiar propice si se pare ca va reveni la statutul de echipa Continentala. De acord, chiar si asa are un calendar bun, primeste invitatii, dar nu s-ar compara cu ce i-ar putea oferi polonezii.
Problema e doar la Turul Frantei, deoarece o echipa a devenit atat de interesata de el, incat il sufoca. Tocmai de aceea, nu m-ar mira ca in viitorul apropiat sa fie redus numarul de rutieri, undeva la 7 pentru fiecare echipa. Ce s-a intamplat la Jocurile Olimpice ar veni in sprijinul unui astfel de decizii din partea ASO.
